- Inquiries from prospective colony keepers. Most welcome, this is the primary purpose of the site.
- Substantive questions about the species, the husbandry, or the genetics that aren’t covered elsewhere on the site.
- Press, research, or educational inquiries. Please be specific about what you’re working on.
What this page is not for
- Requests for pet rats. I do not place animals casually as individual pets. The rats from this line that are placed go to people who have engaged with the colony keeper process.
- Requests for veterinary advice on animals from other lines. I am not in a position to advise on rats I have not raised and selected, and I am not a substitute for actual veterinary care. Please consult a veterinarian who knows your animals.
- Generic complaints, solicitation, or harassment. Will not receive a response.

Use any subject line. A brief introduction and an explanation of your interest is enough for a first message, the longer questionnaire follows later if your initial inquiry suggests we should keep talking.
Response times vary; I am one person doing this work in addition to running the colony itself. I read every serious inquiry and respond to them, even when it takes a while.
